She recently had undergone treatments at Council Hospital. Mrs. Hinkley, who was born Myrtle M. Lyons at Bentonsville, Ark., December 13, 1886, came west when a child. The family trekked to central Idaho, locating at Cottonwood. She married at Cottonwood to Dick Tipton in 1906. The young couple moved to Slate Creek on Salmon River and resided there until 1918, when they moved to Riggins, to the location now known as North Riggins. They resided there 14 years until Mr. Tipton’s death in 1934. She married May 2, 1945 to Fred Hinkley of Riggins. Mrs. Hinkley’s death is mourned by a host of friends who knew her well during her nearly half a century residence on Salmon River. Besides her husband at Riggins, she is survived by two stepsons, Claude Hinkley of Cottonwood and Clifford Hinkley of Lewiston; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Sabin and Mrs. Minnie Satron, both of Whitefish, Mont., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Assembly of God church at Riggins, with the Rev. Mr. Jamieson officiating. Mrs. Gene LeBoeuf and Mrs. Dock Nail sang hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Willis. Burial was at Riggins Cemetery. The Robertson Funeral Home of Grangeville had charge of services.
