Martin V. Huff Dies;
Lived at Cottonwood

  Martin V. Huff, brother of Bill Huff, Grangeville, died at Whitefish, Mont., 
last Monday, February 12.  He was a former resident of Cottonwood where he 
followed the trade of harness making.
  The body is being shipped to Cottonwood to arrive Friday and services will 
be held from the Ailor Mortuary chapel at that place at 2 o’clock Saturday 
afternoon.  Rev. W.O. Benthin will officiate and burial will be in Cottonwood 
Cemetery.
  Martin V. Huff was born at Miami, Missouri, September 6, 1887.  He came to 
Idaho County in 1902, where he lived until 1917 when he moved to Bradley, 
Mont., then to Condon, and the last two years lived at Whitefish.  In recent 
years, with the demands for harness dwindling, Mr. Huff had been working at 
shoe repairing.  He was an invalid all his life, having never walked.  He got 
about on his hands and knees and made his own way in the world.  
  Besides Bill Huff, two other brothers survive Laurence of Moscow and Roy of 
Alberta, Canada.
