A retired grain and dairy farmer, Mr. Klapprich was born December 12, 1884 in Bismarck North Dakota to Peter and Mary Klapprich. He received his schooling in North Dakota, moving to Idaho when he was 18. He has since lived in the Cottonwood area. Mr. Klapprich had gathered an extensive museum in his home. His hobby was taxidermy. He and Elizabeth Entrup were married February 1, 1926 at Keuterville. They cleared the land and built the house where they had been living since. Survivors include his wife, sons, Everett, Prineville, Ore., Ted, Cascade Locks, Ore., and David, Cottonwood, daughter, Deloris Marie, Cottonwood, and brother, Joseph Klapprich, Cottonwood, ten grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Rosary was recited Tuesday night at St. Mary’s Church. Funeral mass was scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father George King as celebrant. Organist was Mrs. Tom Beckman and soloist, Mrs. James Rehder. Pallbearers were Nick Klapprich, Fred Bensching, Frank Entrup, Bobby Walker Delmar Rad and Lewis Schnider. Burial was in Cottonwood Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Uhlorn Funeral Home.
