MINNIE RAMBO PASSES AT SPOKANE Mrs. Minnie Lorene Rambo, 77, a pioneer resident of Grangeville since the 1880’s and the wife of M. G. Rambo, succumbed Sunday at Deaconness Hospital at Spokane after a lingering illness. She was taken to Spokane last Thursday. Death was attributed to infirmities of age. Mrs. Rambo was born December 23, 1876, in Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Ward. The family moved from Texas to Oregon where her father died. The rest of the family came to Mt. Idaho to reside with her uncle, Thomas Ward. She obtained her education in the Mt. Idaho school and on August 5, 1896, was married to Malcolm G. Rambo at Grangeville. The marriage was performed by the Rev. W. N. Knox, a pioneer minister. Mr. Rambo built a home at Grangeville and the couple has resided there since. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Circle of Woodcraft and the Pythian sisters. Survivors are her husband and two sons, Everett of Bend, Oregon and Malcolm, Jr. of Grangeville. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Robertson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. LaVerne Tooley, pastor of the Community Church, officiated. Pallbearers were Harold Haynes, Mackey Williams, Mark Robinson, Archie Gilkeson, Bert Sherwin and R. D. Williams. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery.
