STIREWALT CLAIMED BY REAPER Wm. A. Stirewalt, 85, passed away Monday evening, November 27 at General hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held from the Robertson Funeral chapel Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock, the Rev. John F. Rice officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View cemetery. Mr. Stirewalt was born October 18, 1864 in Minneapolis, Minn. and came to Idaho county about 1895. Two years later on August 17, 1897 he was married to Miss Delsie Sense in Clearwater. Employed as a woods worker the family moved often in the interest of his work, going to the coast in 1902. In 1920, they returned to Idaho county where they farmed near Harpster until moving to White Bird in 1935. He remained there until coming to Grangeville for medical treatment a few years ago. He is survived by his wife at Clearwater; four sons, Earl and Bill of Riggins; Harold of Tacoma and John of Prineville, Ore.; one daughters, Mrs. Robert Nedrow of Winchester; one brother, John of Sacramento and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Lock, Idaho Falls; also six grandchildren. A son, George, was drowned at Tacoma while in the service of the Navy.
