Sixteen miles East by road from Jerome, and Twenty miles North and east of Twin Falls. It is 2.31 miles North of Idaho State Highway no. 25, between Jerome and Eden. Hunt's first train load arrived Aug 10 1942, completed by Sept 14 1942. population was 8,381. Closed February 9 1946. 1943- Japanese boy drowned August 28 1943 and was found on September 1 1943. July 20 1944- Work has been completed on the Cemetery which is located about one mile South West of Block #1. Lava rock has been picked up in the near sage brush area and has been used to construct walls around this small plot of ground where the graves are. A few trees have been sit out. Water has been piped from Block #1 to the Cemetery. Markers have been installed at the heads of all the graves. December 17 1945- Arrangements are being made with one of the Morticians in Jerome for the exhuming and removal of the bodies that are now in the project Cemetery. There are eleven of these bodies! It will be necessary to secure the consent of the nearest relative before removal can be made. Additional Comments: Let us always remember the injustice and never let it happen again.
