B. Channel was in the North Side metropolis last week making arrangements for establishing a lumber yard. Work was begun at once on a building and it was pushed up as fast as the lumber could be hauled to the busy little city from Shoshone. Twenty-one teams were engaged in the work and Mr. Geo. Allen, the Jerome business end of the yard, says that the lumber is being purchased by the ranchers so fast that it is a question whether the sheds can be entirely finished while the rush is on. Mr.Allen also stated that over fifty teams were constantly hauling lumber into Jerome and that from one point near the town a large number of new ranch buildings could be counted all in the course of erection.
