Twin Falls News September 2, 1938
  JEROME, Sept 2-Accused of striking Frank Kimes, a deaf mute, in the face 
with a fence post, Rudolph Allen was held under $1,500 bond to answer to a 
felony charge in the district court following a preliminary hearing before 
Probate Judge Heber N. Folkman. Bond was furnished and Allen was released.
  Testimony was that the asserted assault occured when Kimes came to the Allen 
place after stray horses.
  A younger brother of the asserted attack victim testified at the preliminary 
hearing.
