Twice A Week Twin Falls Times July 21, 1914
Jerome Man Killed While At Work On North Side Canal.
  John Helsert, employed upon the repairing of the break in the North Side 
canal, about 13 miles east of Jerome, was instantly killed Saturday morning by 
being struck by a boulder blown 500 feet from a blast upon the work. The top 
of the man's head was torn off. He is survived by a wife and four children, 
the oldest being eight years and the youngest less than a year. Heisert came 
to Idaho from Youngstown, O., about five years ago and located in Jerome.
