John Helsert, employed upon the repairing of the break in the North Side canal, about 13 miles east of Jerome, was instantly killed Saturday morning by being struck by a boulder blown 500 feet from a blast upon the work. The top of the man's head was torn off. He is survived by a wife and four children, the oldest being eight years and the youngest less than a year. Heisert came to Idaho from Youngstown, O., about five years ago and located in Jerome.
