Twin Falls Daily News August 17, 1926
 Hazelton Aug 16- Arthur Nelson, 20, son of Lars P. Nelson was found dead at 
his father's home early Monday morning, with a bullet wound through his head. 
Officials stated that evidence shows that Nelson ended his own life with a 22 
rifle bullet after he had attempted suicide by drinking a quanity of carbolic 
acid. His immediate relatives were unable to set forth any cause which might 
have prompted the young man's action.
 Nelson was apparently in the best of spirits Sunday evening and performed his 
usual daily tasks about the farm in usual manner. Shortly after dinner in the 
evening he took his car and left home. He was next heard from shortly after 
midnight in the house by his brother, When his father called him for breakfast 
in the morning, however, he was missing. Not until some time after the members 
of the family noticed the boy's car and inspected it were they aware of the 
tradgedy. The body was found several feet from the machine, and at that time 
Nelson had been dead some hours.
 The deceased is survived by his father, one brother and one sister. His 
mother died early in the spring.
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the 
Grossman chapel in Twin Falls.
FUNERALS-
 Arthur Nelson, whose death occured at his father's home near Hazelton Monday 
morning, will be laid at rest in the Twin Falls cemetery, following services 
which will be held from the Grossman Undertaking chapel at 2 o'clock this 
afternoon. Rev. A. G. Pearson, of Twin Falls Presbyterian church and Rev. J. 
Morton of the Hazelton Prebyterian church will officiate.
