North Side News,Jerome,December 1922
 Many friends will regret to learn of the death of George H. Fry, which occured 
at the home in Jerome,last Friday morning,December 15th,1922. Mr.Fry had been 
ill for some time of broncular pnemonia,and although he had rallied several 
times during the illness his advanced years were against him.
 Mr. Fry was born at Jackson,Ohio,February 15 1846, and hence was almost 77 
years old at the time of his death. His father was captain of Company I,21st 
Ohio Volunteers,in the Civil War and this son,then a boy,was attached to his 
father's company as civilian driver of an ambulance for two years, thus seeing 
much service at the front.
 Soon after the war the family removed to Missouri,where Mr.Fry resided until 
four years ago when he removed to Jerome,joing several sons by a former 
marriage who resided here. There were six children as a result of the first 
marriage,five boys and one girl. The mother of these children died about twenty 
years ago,Mr.Fry later again marrying and the second wife with five children 
being residents of Jerome. All of the children are living and all except two 
were present at the father's death and funeral.
 The funeral was held at the late home last Saturday afternoon. The deceased 
was a consistent member of the Methodist church of Jerome,and the funeral 
services were conducted by Rev.H.G.McCallister;now of Gooding,former pastor of 
the church.
 Mr.Fry was a good citizen of unbending integrity and intense patriotism.His 
cheerful disposition and uniformily good nature earned him the respect and 
friendship of all acquaintances.
