JOHN H. PETTY, 72, PASSES IN JEROME

  Jerome, Aug 26  John H. Petty, 72, died  at 6 p.m. Monday at his home in Jerome.
  Born Jan 3 1875, in Ray County, Mo. Mr. Petty had been a Jerome resident since
1940. He was a veteran of the Spanish American war, serving in the Phillipines
during that conflict.
  Surviving are his widow, Nellie Petty, Jerome; two sons, Ray G. Petty, Salem
Ore. And Jack H. Petty, Jerome; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Clayton, Pendleton
Ore, Mrs. Maxine Wolverten,Jerome, Mrs. Dorothy Mason, Trail Ore. and Mrs. Marie
Bennett, Chillicothy Ore., one brother W.E.Petty, Visalia Calif. And nine
grandchildren.
  Funeral arrangements are pending word from relatives.
