During the few short years we were blessed to have him in our lives, Chad was an inspiration to all who knew him. His unfaltering faith in what God was doing in his life amazed the most seasoned Christian and was an incredible witness of his love and trust in Jesus Christ. Chad was born Sept. 19, 1996, in Coeur d'Alene, the son of Paul and Jill (Holland) Berger. He was a student at Pinehurst Elementary School. Chad loved and enjoyed his family, golfing, fishing, hunting and video games. Our Chad Donald loved life and everything it had to offer, but he knew it was his time to go and he wanted to stay with Jesus. Those he has left behind will miss him more than words can say ... his parents Paul and Jill Berger and little sisters Maranda and Lauren, all at the family home in Kingston; paternal grandparents Don and Nancy Berger, Wallace; maternal grandparents Ed and Lee Holland, Kellogg; great-grandmother Leona Correll, Prichard; beloved aunts and uncles, Mark and Anna Berger, Bill and Kathy Booth, Dave and Debbie Holland, Alan and Nicki Kohal (who were also his godparents), Michael and Lisa Ouimet, Kenny and Janlyn Cleveland, Rob and Amy Fink; great-uncle Thomas Fulton; great-aunt and -uncle Cathy and Terry Lininger; and the many cousins who loved and adored him. We are so grateful for the many friends who have been faithful prayer warriors for not only Chad, but our entire family. God bless you all. Until we see you again, our wonderful boy, we love you. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sept. 10 at Kellogg High School, with Pastor Greg Zellers officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Kellogg. Shoshone Funeral Services of Kellogg and Wallace is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Chad Berger Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
