Funeral Mass today will be 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 925 Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene, with St. Thomas Cemetery as final resting place. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 16, 1912, in Hayes, S.D., to Edith O'Neil of Nebraska and Edward Brady of Illinois. She graduated with a nursing degree from Creighton University in Omaha, then, during World War II, served as 1st lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps, serving in several locations, including New Guinea. On Aug. 24, 1946, Edith married Gene Upson in Omaha, Neb. She came to Coeur d'Alene in 1978 from Loveland, Colo. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed reading. Edith is survived by several nieces and nephews, including George Wilson of Coeur d'Alene and Eileen Brady of Moscow.
