In March 1927 the family moved to Spokane. She met and married Darrell J. Turcott, love of her life, in Spokane on Oct. 25, 1929. They lived in Spokane until the early 1940s, when they moved to the Coeur d'Alene area. She was a resident of Kootenai County all these years. Darrell passed away in November 1980. They were married 51 years and had no children. Her sister Helen and brother Arthur and their families were very special. Jennie helped Darrell in the woods (logging). She loved to cook and no one went away hungry with her fantastic meals, special birthdays and holidays. She loved to garden and can fruit, vegetables and jelly. She loved to embroider -- always doing a pillowcase or scarf and giving her treasures to special people. She and Darrell loved to fish and camp in Montana with Helen and George. After the loss of Darrell, she remained in her little home alone until the last few years. With her health problems, she had to go to the rest home and Adult Residential Care Home to live. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell, sister Rose and brother David. She is survived by sister Helen Menter (Missoula, Mont.,) brother Arthur (Violet) Carrier (Spokane), nieces Ruth Ann (Les) Rancourt (Missoula), Jean (Dr. Jose) Pacheco, (Springfield, Mo.), Andrea (Scott) Foster (Spokane), and nephew Andrew (Marie) Carrier (Spokane); also great nephews Matthew Carrier (Spokane), Darin (Cris) Rancourt (Kirkland, Wash.), Jose and Domingo Pacheco (Missouri), and great-nieces Stacey Rancourt (New York) and Rachel Carrier (Spokane), and three great-great nephews Taylor and Conner Rancourt (Washington) and Brandon Foster (Spokane) and great-great niece Amanda Foster (Spokane) also Turcotte relatives and cousins, her neighbors and dear friends.
