She and her husband, John, moved from Kellogg a year ago to be close to family. Betty was born in Kellogg on Jan. 27, 1927. As an infant, her family moved to Coeur d'Alene, where upon the family operated a dairy farm on Fernan Hill. She loved God's creations, all life and natural marvels. She loved baseball and excelled in swimming, and was so proud of her grandchildren. Betty is survived by her devoted husband, John Scott. They were married for 61 years; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Kris Scott, Hayden Lake; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Holden Mitchell, Coeur d'Alene; grandchildren Angela Kelson, Hailey, Brett Scott, Coeur d'Alene, and Joshua Scott, Coeur d'Alene; great-granddaughter Taylor Nelson; step-granddaughters Keri Walters, Lisa Nyquist and Shelley Brozovich, all of Coeur d'Alene; six step-great- grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Glendena and Bob Ellis, Coeur d'Alene; nephew Tom Christian and his family, Carson City, Nev.; niece Kathie Wilson and husband Dennis, Coeur d'Alene. Betty was preceded in death by Glen and Ruby Knapp and brother Ray Christian. Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
