He was born Aug. 3, 1954. He leaves behind a son, Brandon Curtis Drapeau, 11, of Post Falls. Also his mother, Lienna of Hayden Lake, six sisters, Louis Stensland of Post Falls, Janice Rash, Rita Drapeau and Gloria Marquez all of Hayden Lake, Connie Albertson, Rathdrum, and Brenda Peterson of Wasilla, Alaska, four brothers, Andy and Mike Drapeau of Post Falls, Ed Drapeau of Tacoma, Wash., Jesse Drapeau of Eres, Calif. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer, two brothers David and Franky, and sister Kathy. Curtis worked for 12 years at Greenacres Plant Food Center as a laborer and truck driver. He was a veteran who began his military career in May 1974. He spent his basic training at Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., and did three tours of duty in Germany and served as a mechanic in Desert Storm. Curtis served 18 years in the United States Army. Curtis enjoyed fishing, hunting, scenic mountain drives, swimming and treasured time with his son. This man is truly loved and will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. on Oct. 5 at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, 1700 N. Spokane St. A reception will follow at Real Life Ministries Church, 1866 Cecil Rd., Post Falls. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday on Oct. 5-6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
