Allan was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Bonners Ferry to Jack and Lillian (Saddler) Geuin. He attended school in Oroville and Omak, both in Washington, and then college at Washington State University in Pullman. In 1949, Allan married Joy Breshears in Omak, Wash. They lived in Alaska and Seattle, before moving to Coeur d'Alene in 1956. Allan worked as a heavy equipment operator and could operate any piece of equipment. He worked on projects all over the Northwest and Alaska, including Lookout Pass and Lolo Pass in Montana, and big projects such as the Davorshak Dam in Orofino. He was a supervisor with a crew on the Alaska Pipeline. Allan also built homes in Dalton Gardens and Coeur d'Alene, where he developed Forest Park Estates. A Boy Scout Leader, Allan was active in the Dalton Little League. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved reading his Bible. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joy at home in Coeur d'Alene; daughters Carol and Cliff Thome, and Jan Frank, Coeur d'Alene; sons and wives, Ron and Marlow Geuin, Sun Valley, Bob and Chrissy Geuin, Springfield, Mo., Randy and Sue Geuin, Post Falls; grandchildren Angie Lehti, David Frank, Tony Terkowski, Stasha Sharum, all of Coeur d'Alene, Katy and Sarah Geuin, Post Falls, Kyle Frank, Springdale, Ark., Jonathan and Brian Geuin, Springfield, Mo.; son-in-law "Terk" Terkowski, Coeur d'Alene; brother Ron and Thelma Geuin, Olympia, Wash.; nieces Rae Threedy and Becky Pollard; nephew Jeff Geuin; and four great-grandchildren. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Bob Jackson, and grandson Christopher Frank. At his request, no services will be held. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2215 Seventh St. Coeur d'Alene.
