He was born June 26, 1922, in Liscomb, Iowa, to John M. and Dorothy Botts (Thomas) Grammer. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Grammer at the Albany home; daughters Judy and husband Pete Janowitz, Beaverton, Ore., Tania and husband Mike Tyrrell, Hood River, Ore., Donna and Dennis Ashenfelter, Albany, Ore., Kathy and husband Tim Tremper, Port Orchard, Wash.; son Bob and wife Mary Grammer, Coeur d'Alene; half-brothers Tom Thomas, North Andover, Mass., Ed Thomas, Dunnellon, Fla.; half-sister Doris Bottomley, Largo, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial celebration will be 2-4 p.m. Aug. 29 at Albany Senior Center, 489 N.W. Water Ave. Private family graveside committal with interment will be held at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany. Arrangements were under the care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 34275 Riverside Drive, Albany, OR 97321, (541)740-6257.
