Hirsch, 85, passed away July 29, 2005, in Spirit Lake. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Amy Hirsch at the family home; daughters Kay Ely, Mead, Wash., Eileen Dugger, Newport, Wash., and Nancy Englund, Springdale, Wash.; stepson Dan Seimer, Hermiston, Ore.; stepdaughters Diane Rice and Marilyn Sylvester, both of Spokane Valley; brother Joe Hirsch, Scottsdale, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathryn Hirsch, in 1964, son John Hirsch in 1987 and stepson Marvin Seimer in 1998. During World War II, Jack served with the Army in North Africa and the European Theater. He resided in Valley, Wash., for 55 years and the last 30 years in Hayden Lake. Jack was a lover of the outdoors and an avid fisherman and hunter. Private family service will be held. Arrangements were under the care of Thornhill Valley Funeral Home, 1400 S. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99206, (509) 924-2211. Memorials may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
