Mikey was born Sept. 7, 1982, in San Bernardino, Calif., to proud parents Mike and Lisa Johnson. In 1989, his family moved to the place Mikey would always call home -- North Idaho. A graduate of Lakeland High School, Mikey was prominent in soccer, made life- long friends and was popular among everyone at Lakeland. The year after graduating, he went on a Raiders Road Trip with his dad and traveled, before returning home in July 2004. Everyone who knew Mikey knew what a good, kind man he was. He had a big heart and would do anything for anybody. His family and friends were so important to him, and he made it impossible not to love him as much as he loved all of us. Mikey was preceded in death by his grandpa Bob Johnson, grandma Martha Stroud, uncle Mike Stroud, and cousin Joey Castillo. He is survived by his parents Mike Johnson and Lisa Bolton; brother Adam; sister Trudi; stepbrother Cody Bolton; stepsisters Jesse and Amanda Bolton; grandparents Trudy Snyder, Coeur d'Alene, and Quenton Stroud, California. Mikey is also survived by many aunts and uncles, from here in North Idaho to Washington and California, along with numerous cousins and family who will miss him dearly; along with stepparents Kenny Bolton and Suz Johnson and stepgrandpa Mel Snyder. He is also survived by so many close friends -- friends who were life-long friends, all of whom meant the world to Mikey. All of the boys whom he always called his "brothers," and everyone else who loved him, including special friend Shaynee. Mikey was such a special man and touched so many lives while he was here. We all know he is watching over us as an angel and that he'll watch over us until the day when we will see him again. "We love you, Mikey!" Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at North Country Chapel, Post Falls. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements. Please sign Mikey's guest registry and view his online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
