Ross, 77, Dalton Gardens, passed away Aug. 1, 2005, at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born April 20, 1928, in St. Maries, to Josephine and Harry Kingsley, both of St. Maries. Her parents nicknamed her "Tiny," which family and friends continued to refer to her. Lucille married Glen I. Ross in Port Townsend, Wash., then moved to Port Angeles, Wash., where they raised two daughters before returning to Idaho. Glen retired as a power lineman and built a home in Dalton Gardens in 1970. Lucille spent 55 years with her beloved husband before he passed away in 2000. Lucille was devoted to her family. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She truly loved babies and children. Many times, she helped raise family children as her own. An excellent cook, most holidays were celebrated in her home. She nurtured family closeness. Lucille's numerous hobbies included ceramics, crochet and knitting. Her true joys were camping, hunting, photography, and especially fishing. She also loved following the Seattle Mariners. As a child, her summers were spent with her family, brothers Bill Kingsley, Jim Kingsley and sisters Dottie Short and Susan Stamper, all now deceased. She was raised close to nature and knew God's creatures as her pets. Growing up in logging camps were her happiest times. Lucille is survived by her daughter Linda Law and son-in-law Gordon Law, daughter Nancy Fietsam and Nancy's children Yvonne Jordan, Todd Michael, Tamra Michael, Harley Fietsam and Mariah Fietsam, and great-grandchildren Charity Marie and Desiree Banae, all of Coeur d'Alene; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in Washington and Idaho.
