Larsen, 41 My wife, our mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend was taken from us Jan. 1, 2006. Vonette was born April 24, 1964, in Toppenish, Wash. After graduating from high school in Battleground, Wash., she attended and graduated from cosmetology school in Vancouver, Wash. Vonette married her high school sweetheart, Joel Larsen, in 1983. She was a member of the Battleground High School Drill Team, the "Outlaws," a women's equestrian drill team and Silver Buckle Rodeo Club. Vonette, her husband and their three daughters moved to Athol in 1998. She enjoyed hiking, going on four-wheel and snowmobile rides, riding the Harley with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. She was a prankster with a quick wit, but a very compassionate and caring individual. Vonette was dedicated to her many clients and had a special affection for her senior customers. Her grandson was a special blessing to her. Vonette is survived by her husband Joel, daughters Jovon, Joleen and Jamie; grandson Zac; father Von Berry and stepmother Mary, Vancouver, Wash.; mother Bobbie DeBower and step father Dean, Lincoln City, Ore., previously of Athol; sister Sandi Cobb and husband Kenny, Castle Rock, Wash.; mother-in-law Ruth Larsen, Battleground, Wash; brother-in-law Jack Larsen, Battleground; sister- in-law JoAnn Carrol and husband Gary, Prescott, Ariz.; and all aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. "Vonette, you will be missed by your family, friends and all the people you have touched." Her 3-year-old grandson always told her: "You're the bestest grandma in the whole wide world ever again." The family requests, if you wish, donations in lieu of flowers, be made in memory of Vonette to her daughters. Donations will be accepted at any Global Credit Union. There will not be a funeral or memorial service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of cremation.
