During his life, he was a wonderful husband, a loving father, an enduring friend, a historian, a searcher for truth and a truly religious man. Emile was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada, on July 16, 1942. His family moved to the United States when Emile was 9 years old. He attended school in Sandpoint and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1960. In 1965, he obtained his bachelor of science degree in economics from Eastern Washington University. Emile spent several years as an arson investigator in Tucson, Ariz., and most of the rest of his career as an industrial engineer in the aerospace industry. He loved being with his family, entertaining friends, studying history and traveling to foreign lands. Emile was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred J. and Flora Belle LeFebvre. He is survived by his sister, Marguerite Carlile of Greenacres, Wash.; wife Kaye, Post Falls; daughters Michele Dunlow, Post Falls, Nikki LeFebvre, Bakersfield, Calif.; son-in-law Doug Dunlow, grandsons Ben and Arik Dunlow, Post Falls. Emile also leaves behind a host of friends. We will miss his wisdom, his guidance and his love. A celebration of his life will be noon Nov. 6 at the home of John and Vicky Johnson. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements. The family requests no flowers. However, donations may be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N.
