She was born Oct. 21, 1914, to John and Alma Lindstrom in Aberdeen, Wash., after the family immigrated from Finland. There were six children in the family, Alma being the fourth. A longtime member of the Coeur d'Alene Seventh-day Adventist Church, Alma was a prayer warrior and had an extended list of people whom she prayed for regularly. Her interests were in nutrition, gardening, walking, writing letters, and above all, her family. She had a special interest in young people. For 14 years, Alma and her then-husband Glen owned and operated Mountain View Sanitarium in Southern California. When their marriage ended, she continued to care for patients in her guest house, work she enjoyed very much. Alma and Glen had four sons, Clint, Chuck, Andy and Curtice. In 1968, she married John Dreyer. They had a very loving relationship for nearly 38 years. From Southern California, they first moved to Camp Verde, Ariz., to Roseburg, Ore., and then to Spirit Lake in 1978. In 1990, they moved from Spirit Lake to Post Falls. While is Spirit Lake, they were charter members of the Spirit Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church. Alma is survived by her husband John; sons Clinton Anderson and daughter-in- law EmmaLee, Chuck Anderson and daughter-in-law Sue, Andy Anderson and daughter-in-law Cindy; brother Paul Lindstrom; 10 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Curtice in 1969, her parents, brothers John and Toivo, and sisters Aili and Ann. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Dec. 18 at Coeur d'Alene Seventh-day Adventist Church, 111 Locust Ave. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
