Funeral services today will be 11 a.m. at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, which is in charge of arrangements. Ray was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Bakersfield, Calif. He worked in the lumber industry for 42 years and served in the Army from 1950 through 1952, during the Korean Conflict. From 1973 through 1985, Ray was the plant manager for Diamond International. He then became plant supervisor for Plum Creek from 1985 until he retired in 1990. Ray is survived by Pat, his wife of 52 years; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Belinda Mason; grandsons Jeffrey Mason and wife Debbie, Brandon Mason and wife Molly; and four great-grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his father (Robert) Ray Mason and mother Anna G. (Nord) Mason. Ray was a life member and past master of Spirit Lake Masonic Lodge 57, Calam Shrine, past patron on O.E.S., past master of Blanchard Grange 440, and a life member of V.F.W. Ray's greatest love was his family, which was always first, and he will be greatly missed forever by his family and friends.
