Born March 7, 1952, in Cleveland, to Joseph and Patricia (Toland) Mastros, he grew up in Largo, Fla., and graduated from Largo High School in 1970. Allen earned his real estate license and brokerage licenses in Idaho and Montana. He was the founder and owner of Treaty Rock Realty, which he operated in Post Falls for the past 13 years. Allen served on the Post Falls chamber board for four years, Post Falls School District's long-range planning committee, and was past president of Post Falls Kiwanis. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Allen will be remembered by friends and family as a man who lived life to the fullest. An accomplished guitarist, he spent many an evening serenading his family and friends. He was an avid fly fisherman who loved teaching all the kids in his life how to fish, a pilot who loved to take everyone on a new adventure, and a cook who enjoyed feeding all who came within his circle. Many family members, friends and business associates can tell stories of whitewater rafting trips and fun times they enjoyed with Allen at the cabin. He loved to regale us with stories of surfing in California with his nephew, Brad. Allen is survived by his daughter, Swaniee Grubb, and grandson Riley of Las Cruces, N.M.; his mother Patricia Mastros, Port Richey, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Joe Delaney, Brewerton, N.Y.; nieces Jodi Dutkiewicz and Mara Delaney, Brewerton, N.Y.; nephew Bradley Dutkiewicz and wife Heather, Malibu, Calif.; and girlfriend Susanne Walser of Switzerland. Allen will be missed by his many friends and associates, and his beloved dog, Jazz. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Mastros, in 1993. The family will receive guests during calling hours from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Oct. 19 at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Oct. 20 also at Yates.
