Her parents were Albert and Agnes (Perry) Merrill. Doris married Sidney N. Moore in 1940 and lived here for 67 years. She loved flower gardening and reading, and had always said the flowers in a weed patch were better than no flowers. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney, in 1998, sisters Ruth Anderson, Florence Neilson, Olive Benson and Jean Banka, and brother John Merrill. Survivors include her sister, Edna Davison; daughter Barbara and husband Tom Gauthier; sons Richard Moore, William and wife Glenda Moore; grandchildren Robert and Tami Gauthier, Kevin and Denise Gauthier, Jennifer and Jef Yousey, Stacy and Jason Dolph; great-grandchildren Sara, Ashley, Brandon, Joshua, Weston, Tyson Gauthier, Sean, Cody and Kyle Perce, Britteny and Morgan Dolph; numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was cremated and wished for no services. There will be a family gathering at a later date. English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
