Parmentier, 86 Ruth M. Parmentier, 86, of Coeur d'Alene, passed away Nov. 18, 2005, in Coeur d'Alene. She was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Kamiah to Clifton Miller and Minnie (Daggett) Miller. She was born and raised in Kamiah and graduated from Kamiah High School in 1936. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Spokane and attended beauty school and opened a beauty shop in Spokane. She married Jerome J. Parmentier in 1946. She spent the next years being a loving, dedicated mother to her two sons. She opened Ruth's Alterations Shop in 1964. She retired in 1969 and moved to Coeur d'Alene, where she opened the Gingerbread House, specializing in doll collecting and repair. She enjoyed sewing, doll collecting and making hand crafts. She enjoyed her days living, boating, collecting driftwood and fishing on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene. She is survived by her two sons, Jerome Parmentier of Spokane, Jim Parmentier of Coeur d'Alene, grandchildren Rochelle Y. and Stephen R. Parmentier, sister Faye Moraridge and three brothers Ray, Jay and Warren Miller. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m., at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane. Viewing will be Monday from noon to 7 p.m. at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d'Alene.
