Russell, 89 Mary K. Russell, 89, went to be with our Lord Jesus, her beloved husband Lee and her cherished daughter Sharon on Dec. 23, 2005. Her daughter and son-in- law had the privilege of being at her side. Mary was born Dec. 15, 1916, to Gustav H. and Catherine (Fallon) Carlson in Nine Mile Falls, Wash. She graduated in 1935 from Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Wash., and married Lee V. Russell on Nov. 6, 1937. They lived in Burke, Idaho, Spokane and Pullman, Wash., before coming to Coeur d'Alene in 1945. Mary was a homemaker. She loved to dance and began dancing with her parents at six months of age, going to grange dances and continuing throughout her life with Lee, whom Mary met at a dance when they were 16 years old. She was noted for her beautiful flower gardens wherever she lived. Mary and Lee loved to travel by car. They visited all but four of the states. In later years, Mary was happy just going for a ride around the area. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John (Kathleen) Russell of Milwaukie, Ore., James (Janice) Russell, Portland; daughter and son-in-law, Ja- Nee (Rod) Newby, Coeur d'Alene. Mary has six grandsons, four granddaughters, three great-grandsons, eight great-granddaughters and one great-great- grandson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee in Feb. 2000, daughter Sharon Wilson in March 2000, and grandson Ken Russell in April 2004. Mary was also predeceased by her parents and sister Helen Carucci. Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Jan. 7 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 Haycraft, Coeur d'Alene ID, with Father Roger LaChance officiating. A luncheon will follow at Parish Center. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggest memorials to Children's Village, 1350 W. Hanley Ave. Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815.
