Stiner, 78 Troy F. Stiner, 78, Coeur d'Alene, died Aug. 21, 2005, above Beauty Bay in Coeur d'Alene. He was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Antlers, Okla., to Clarence and Ida Stiner. Troy was a resident of North Idaho for over 60 years, and was a sawyer for most of his adult life. Troy married his wife, Betty, in 1951. A veteran of the Army, he served in the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the Coeur d'Alene VFW. Troy loved his cabin on his brother-in-law's property above Beauty Bay. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was the best grandpa in the world and loved to tell stories. Troy is survived by his wife, Betty, at home; daughter Judy Nielson, Chicago; sister Onabell Litzenburger; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Roy Stiner, in 2002, brothers and sisters Rosilee Cope, Ethel McCaw, Lewis and Fred Stiner, and his mother and father. Viewing will start 11 a.m. until before the noon funeral service on Aug. 25, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene.
