She was born at Holy Cross Hospital in the San Fernando Valley, Calif., on Jan. 31, 1964, and moved to Post Falls in August 1972. In 1975, Alison was one of the first students to attend the Immaculate Conception Academy. She graduated from Post Falls High School in 1980 at the age of 16 years old. Alison attended college, then moved back to California in 1985 and entered into the high-tech computer industry in the Silicon Valley. Through the ranks, she became director of product marketing. As a woman of substance and through her business ventures, Alison traveled through all of Europe and the Pacific Rim. With her intelligence, sensitivity, quick wit, laughter, and beautiful smile, she built strong-lasting friendships with everyone she encountered. Alison is survived by her father, Robert Unden, and mother, Mary Unden, both of Post Falls; sister Alicia Unden-Barbachano and brother-in-law James Barbachano, nephew Devin (D.J,) Barbachano and niece Jolie Alison Barbachano, all of Simi Valley, Calif.; as well as many, strong lifetime friends, such as Kathleen Thomas, Julia Bradley, Adam Raubsogel, Holly Chriss, Germaine Ward, Susan Kowalski, Mike Pirro, Jacob Rick, Paul Webb, Craig Lane and Mike Cody, to name a few. Rosary and viewing will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at English Funeral Chapel, Post Falls. Requiem Mass for Alison will be noon Aug. 6 at Immaculate Conception Church, in Post Falls. Final resting place will be at Assumption Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley, Calif. Alison was successful in receiving all the graces, blessings and final sacraments at Immaculate Conception Church, as well as passing wearing her brown scapular: "Whoever dies clothed in this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire." (words of the Blessed Virgin). May Alison rest in peace with the eternal light of Jesus and the Holy Virgin Mary shining upon her.
