Weathermon, 84, Coeur d'Alene, died Nov. 7, 2005, at Valley Vista Care Center in Sandpoint. He was born July 20, 1921, in Walla Walla, Wash., to Lela (Davis), of Washington, and George N. Weathermon, of Missouri. Dean attended school in Umapine, Ore., and graduated from McLaughlin Union High School in Milton- Freewater, Ore., then served three years in the Navy during World War II. Dean married Aurel D. Quinn in Seattle on March 8, 1943. He worked as a laborer for Key-Electronics in Milton-Freewater, and moved in 1983 to Athol, where they lived for 22 years before moving to Sandpoint six months ago. While in Milton-Freewater, he was a member of First Christian Church, and then again in Sandpoint. Dean was a member of the Athol American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and archery. Dean is survived by his wife, Aurel, at home; daughter Sandra Allen and husband Nathan, Salem, Ore.; grandchildren Kindal Allen Spearin, Newberg, Ore., and Jacob Dean Allen, Salem, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Delbert Weathermon and Clarence Weathermon, half-brothers Jack Weathermon and Vincent Roff, and half- sister Kathleen Weathermon. Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Nov. 12 at Athol Baptist Church, 29450 N. Highway 95. English Funeral Chapel, Coeur d'Alene, is in charge of cremation.
