She was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Fort Worth, Texas. Loving parents Reverend W. A. and Mrs. Mary "Ella" Wilson adopted her. As the mayor's wife, Mrs. Stewart was very active in many organizations, including Pathfinders, P.T.A., and Boy Scouts. She even learned to fly an airplane. After her children were grown, Mrs. Stewart moved to Palm Springs, Calif., where she met and married Wayne Stewart. A few years after her husband died in 1974, Mrs. Stewart moved to Victorville, Calif. Widowed for 30 years and used to living alone in the desert communities of Southern California, her family thought her very adventurous to move at age 92 to Idaho to live with six family members and four active dogs. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Donald and Fran Snavely of Coeur d'Alene; and son-in-law Lowell Lawrence, Victorville, Calif.
