Date of birth is 8 February 1850 in Keokuk, Iowa and death date is 2 August 1909 in Dudley, Kootenai, Idaho. The 3 family tombstones were propped up against this tree. We assume they had fallen from their original positions. Additional Comments: Mary Jane York Van Cleave is the mother of Martha Jane Van Cleave Brown and Mariah Ellen Van Cleave, whose tombstones are also found in this cemetery. Their family came to Idaho early, being found in the 1880 census of Cassia County, Idaho. Mary Jane's husband, Asa Milton Van Cleave, a Civil War Veteran, is buried at the Fort Orting Old Soldier's Home, Orting, Pierce, Washington.
