Mitchell Take Highway 8 east from Moscow past the small community of Joel (about 6.5 miles from Moscow). Turn right and follow gravel road for 0.9 miles to fork. Stay right for 1.3 miles to intersection. Turn right, go 0.9 miles, then turn left on gravel road. Follow this road for 1.8 miles to fork. Stay left, go 0.6 miles to church and a few gravestones behind it on right side of road. The stones are in very poor shape and some have been knocked down. There is a stone bearing the following inscription: 140 feet north stood Cordelia Lutheran Church. Congregation organized by Peter Carlson, Nov. 14, 1880 LARSON John F.
