VALLEY HOLDS HONOR COURTS

Awards Presented For North and South Madison Boy Scouts

(Special to The Post-Register)

REXBURG, Jan 2. -- Two courts of honor were held in Madison 
county Sunday night, North Madison district at Plano and the 
South Madison district at Rexburg.

At the South Madison court of honor life awards went to Gary 
Steiner, Melvin Racks and James T. Hunsaker. The gold palm 
went to John M. Anderson and the star awards to Howard Jensen, 
Glen Ericksen and Reed Welker.

Second class advancement went to the following:

Lyle M. Cheney, Theron Cheney, Robert W. Ellis, Devon H. 
Erickson, Gaylan Erickson, Tho. I Weekes, Gary Cook, Val 
Bay Brower, Wayne Jolley, Larry Kliinger, Phillip Taylor, 
Lowell Barrick.

Three boys were promoted to the rank of first class scouts 
at the Plano court of honor. They were harold Barria, Vernal 
Davidson and Vern Davidson.

Second class went to Val Schwendlman, Earl Cutler, Vall 
Darwin Butler and Leroy Kerbe and scout membership went 
to Clayne Stoddard.
