The girl died last Wednesday in the Cottage hospital in Burley. Marcel "Smokey" Werth of Paul, a rodeo rider, is being held in the Minidoka county jail on first degree murder charges. He is accused of hitting the girl with his fist. Hawks said an autopsy was performed by Dr. J. Woodann Creed of Twin Falls. The physician reported, Hawks said, that an internal hemorchage following a blow in the abdomen cause the child's death. He said the examination showed that lacarations of tissue on the child's liver had been recent.
