Trixie was born in Aberdeen on May 5, 1924, to Valentin and Marie nee Aberasturi Solosabal, immigrants from Viscaya, Spain. They soon moved to Rupert where Trixie grew up into the wonderful mother, grandmother and friend that she was. She graduated from Rupert High School where she was a cheerleader and she liked to remind us of this accomplishment many times. She must have been a natural because her favorite moments were spent cheering on her grandchildren in all of their various activities and sporting events. Besides being a fabulous mother and grandmother, Trixie managed to add to her resume the professions of coach (where she must have mastered her skills for letting the various game officials know when they made serious errors in judgment), waitress, favorite long time bartender and chief cook and bottle washer! And boy did she let you know it. “Now, girls . . . never stir red sauce with a metal spoon!“ Trixie was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, attending horse races, and holding her famous (or should we say infamous) yard sales. Trixie will always be remembered by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dennis (Donna) Hunter of Logan, Utah and their family, Tara (John) Tanner and daughter, Ella of Salt Lake City, Tawni Hillyard and daughter, Adyson of Pocatello, and Tyler Hunter of Logan, Utah, Dean Hunter of Boise, and sons Zac and Zane, both from Boise, Mary Andersen, and her family, Vance (Tiffany) of Pocatello, Reggie (Ashley) of Seattle, Wash., and Colby D. of Rupert, and Jeanette Tracy and family, Nathaniel of Boise, Jarred of Miles City, Mont., and Matthew of Rupert, her sister, Mary Foster of California and numerous nieces and nephews. Trixie was preceded in death by her brothers Ray, Paul (Peb), Val and Sandy Solosabal, her parents, Valentin and Maria and sons, Daryl and Doug Hunter. Trixie’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel. She will be interred at the Rupert Cemetery File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/id/minidoka/obits/s/solosaba2227nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/idfiles/ File size: 2.9 Kb
