Brown, 78 dies, he was a resident of Lewiston and Clarkston since 1929, he died at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Tri-State Convalescent Center, Clarkston. Brown was a retired Putlatch Corp. employee. He was born July 7, 1901, at St. John, Kansas the son of Marion and Lilly Scott Brown. He lived in Kansas until 1913, when he moved to Canada. He lived in Canada until coming to Lewiston and Clarkston in 1929. Brown's home at the time of his death was 1255 Belmont Way, Clarkston. He married Laura McConnel in Kansas in 1921, They were later divorced and he married Geneva Sly in 1945. She died in, 1978. Brown is survived by two sons, of Clarkston, two daughter Margaret ( Brown ) Thiessen of Cheney, Norman Jean ( Brown ) Schumacker of Boise, a brother Floyd Brown of Lawrence Mass; a sister Phoebe ( Brown) Terlson of Usk, Wash; and 22 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Pomeroy Cemetery at 2 p. m. Monday The Rev. Howard Neal will officate. The Merchant Funeral Home is in charge. The body may be viewed at the Merchant chapel Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Monday until noon. Note: Neil Brown is the son of Marion Brown and Lillie May Scott. Grandparents are Joseph Brown and Phoebe Fitzgarald, William Merritt Scott and Julia Ann Bailey.
