I, Orval D. Peterson, a Minister of the Gospel residing at Lewiston in the 
County of Nez Perce in the State of Idaho, do certify that, in accordance with 
authority on me conferred by the above license, I did, on this 12th day of 
October in the year A.D. 1936, at Lewiston in the County of Nez Perce in the 
State of Idaho, solemnize the rites of matrimony between John H. Thiessen of 
Lewiston in the County of Nez Perce of the State of Idaho and Mary Dau of 
Lewiston in the County of Nez Perce of the State of Idaho in the presence of 
Mrs. Melba Thiessen and Mr. Oscar Thiessen. Witness my hand and seal at the 
County aforesaid this 12th day of October A.D. 1936. 

Additional Comments:
Their full names were Mary Magdalena Dau and John Harold Thiessen.  They were 
the aunt and uncle of the contribtor.
