DeLamar Nugget October 20, 1894
 An accident occurred on last Monday by which a teamster named Richard Lanhan, 
lost his life. It seems that when comimg down the China road on a load of wood 
he in some way lost his balance and fell off the wagon, several sticks of wood 
also falling, striking the off wheeler and causing the team to run. The man 
manipulating the brake saw his danger in time to jump, but the teamster was 
caught and the wagon run over his body causing injuries that proved fatal. Dr 
Plumer was summoned, but before the injured man could be removed to town life 
was extinct. Coroner Weston was notified and came down and held an inquest on 
the remains. The jury returned a verdict in accordance with the above facts.
 The deceased was about 60 years of age and has been a resident of Elko Co., 
Nevada for a number of years following the occupation of rancher and teamster.
 Lorenzo Wish, who has been quite intimately acquainted with him for many 
years says he thinks he has a brother and sister living in the East. His 
reputation as a citizen and honest man is good.
