Mansfield Loammi Towner

Additional Comments:
Mansfield Loammi Towner was 26 yrs when he married Alice Mimea Goyn 16 yrs in 
Loveland, Colorado in 1874. He opened the first harness shop in Boulder, CO. 
Their first four children were born in Colorado. The family moved to Idaho in 
1883 and took up land five miles outside of Boise. Mansfield could not get 
water to irrigate so made his living driving freight wagons until he lost a 
leg in an accident on a wagon. He carved his own wooden leg. The family moved 
back to Colorado near Alice's family in Collbran, CO. They eventually moved 
back to Idaho and were living in Grand View when Alice died in 1915. Mansfield 
was living with his daughter in Council, ID when he died in 1939. Mansfield 
and Alice are both buried in Grand View Cemetery. They were parents of nine 
children:
