A new restaurant, to be called The Home Cookery, was opened in Payette 
Wednesday in the building on Broad street, just east and across the street from 
the Thompson Lumber Company, with W. Mapes, formerly of New York, but who for a 
few months previous to coming to Payette has been living in Colorado, as 
proprietor.  Mr. Mapes was accompanied to Payette by his wife and two 
children.  Mrs. Mapes will assist her husband in conducting the restaurant.
