We were yesterday informed that some villain tried to fire the town of Payette 
a few days since.  He had piled shavings up in a building and fired them, but 
luckily no further damage was done that the burning of a hole through the 
floor.  The people of the town have since put on a nightwatchman, and are 
trying to ferret out the demon who attempted to lay the place in ashes.
