B. R. FITCH APPOINTED FIRE CHIEF    
 
At a recent meeting of the Payette Fire Department, B. R. Fitch was chosen as 
Chief of the department, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of M. 
E. Dolling who left Payette for Nampa last week, and on Monday evening the 
appointment of Mr. "Fitch was unanimously approved by the city council and Mr. 
Fitch is now in charge of the department.  He is a man of good judgment and it 
is believed he will fill the position very satisfactorily.
 
Mr. Fitch in accepting this important position desires to make a request of 
the people who visit fires especially those who do so out of curiosity, to 
remain back out of the way and not interfere with the work of the department.
