Charles Hinze, formerly in charge of construction for seven years at the Anaconda smelting works during Otto Stalmann’s time, is renewing old acquaintances. Mr. Hinze is at present a fruit grower of Payette, Idaho, and raises a high grade of apples. He has 40 acres in this fruit and last fall gathered 16 boxes to the tree. The trees are 13 years old. An Anaconda firm bought two carloads of apples from his last autumn. Mr. Hinze expects to make monthly visits to Anaconda during the summer. He says the grass is a couple of inches high in Payette and the trees are leafing. Mayor Leiser and other Anaconda people are interested in fruit growing lands near Mr. Hinze’s locality and they are well pleased with their investment. –Anaconda (Mont.) Recorder.
