City Dads Will Build.

A committee composed of Carl Giesler, N. A. Jacobsen and Peter Pence was 
appointed by the council, last Thursday night, and given full authority to 
proceed at once to the erection of a city building.  It is proposed to spend 
about $800; and the structure is to be placed on the city property on Boise 
street between Main and Commerical.  The council takes the position that it 
will be only the matter of a few years until Payette will need a city hall of 
some considerable size and pretentions, and that to put more money than the 
amount named into a temporary building would be useless.  Chairman Giesler says 
that the work will be pushed ahead at once.  Plans and bids will be asked for 
both frame and brick building.
