Crews of track layers working in each direction have been busy for the past two weeks between Fruitland and New Plymouth. With the gap closed this line is now supplied with steel which will allow the operation of the regular main line rolling stock from Payette to Emmett and on to the Long valley and Payette Lakes region. A number of workmen are now busy resurfacing the track and establishing grade curves. The Fruitland yards and loading stations for the big fruit packing houses will also be considerably improved and strengthened.
