V. Bank Company for Wood & Spaulding. Construction work has begun on another large two-story brick business house which will add materially to the appearance of Boise street, Payette’s principal commercial thoroughfare. It is being erected by the Payette Valley Bank Company, adjoining on the south the Bank building, owned by the same company, and will be occupied by Wood & Spaulding, the furniture and hardward dealers. The building is being constructed especially for Wood & Spaulding and will be fitted up to meet the needs of their business. It will be 100 feet deep with a frontage of 30 feet, the lot width, full two stories high with a handsome plate glass front of modern design. In the rear of the building will be installed a freight elevator of the latest device. The first floor will be used as a salesroom and the upper floor for setting up furniture, etc., and for storage. There will also be in the first story a large deck for carpets, and one whole side will be shelved and part of another. Construction work will be pushed right along until the building is completed. It will make most convenient quarters in every way for Wood & Spaulding and will also give them a very desirable location.
